Online Gambling Statistics

The latest online gambling statistics indicate that more people are playing online games than ever before. The UK gaming market was worth PS14.4 billion in 2018, growing by 4.9%. The US gambling industry grew by 5% last year. While the US has a more liberal gambling environment, the UK has a much smaller gambling market. Despite the high levels of popularity, the UK is one of the most diverse in the world. There are currently more than 5 million online gambling accounts, with the average user having five or more.

Although many countries have restrictions against gambling, the trend hasn’t changed. While more people are now spending time in front of the computer to play, online gambling has remained relatively constant in the past two years. Almost two-thirds of online gamblers gambled from home, despite fewer restrictions. Only 8% of those who gambled outside of the home said they had played in pubs, bars, and clubs.

While many states have enacted legislation to regulate online gambling, this bill has failed to pass. This legislation would have made it harder to engage in the industry. As a result, there are many risks associated with online gambling. A coronavirus lockdown could lead to a rise in cybercrime activity. In the meantime, many states are considering allowing online gaming. However, these new laws are not likely to impact the industry much.
